Messiah Ministries
Jewish & Gentile Evangelism through the Local Church
Listed below are the Purpose, Methods, and Doctrinal Statement of Messiah Ministries, Inc.
OUR PURPOSE:
Considering the emphasis that the Scriptures place upon Jehovah
God's desire for all to be saved, both Jew and Gentile; and the need for
Bible-believing and Bible-practicing churches to lead Jewish people to their Messiah and disciple them
through their churches, the purpose of this non-profit ministry therefore is to proclaim
the Gospel message of Messiah's death, burial, and resurrection to both the Jew and to the
Gentile, with a special emphasis upon local church Jewish evangelism (Is. 49:15-16; Jer.
31:31-38; Acts 3:26; Rom. 1:16; Rom. 10:1; I Tim. 2:4; II Pet. 3:9).
OUR METHODS:
The methods to be employed in this ministry include
sowing the seed of God's Word through evangelistic outreaches including
preaching, teaching, tract and Bible distribution, college campus outreach,
world-wide internet outreach and personal evangelism with the purpose of leading
Jews and Gentiles to saving faith in Christ and encouraging them to get into
Bible-believing local churches for discipleship and edification. We believe that
the most effective outreach is done through local Bible-believing and
Bible-practicing churches by people with a God-given love to reach out to the
Jewish people around them with the Gospel of Messiah Jesus, and who support
those laboring in the ministry with their prayers and gifts. As a local church
ministry, our sending church is Fellowship Baptist Church, 1308 Robins Ave.,
Salisbury, MD 21804. The pastor is Rev. Frank Sansone.
OUR DOCTRINAL STATEMENT:
WE BELIEVE that the Holy
Scriptures in the original Hebrew and Greek texts in their entirety are the
verbally inspired, infallible Words of God. We are not KJO extremists like Peter
Ruckman, but we do use the KJV in our ministries and
believe that it is an accurate and reliable translation which can be declared to
be the Word of God. The Scriptures are all-sufficient and
authoritative as our rule for our faith and its practice (II Tim. 3:16,17; II Peter
1:19-21).
WE BELIEVE in one true and living God Who is infinite in power and knowledge and
everywhere present. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and eternally existent in
three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; II Cor. 13:14).
WE BELIEVE in the Deity of Messiah Jesus; His Virgin Birth, His shed blood on the
Cross of
Calvary for our redemption, His bodily resurrection from the tomb after three
days, His ascension to the Father's right
hand to be our mediator, and His personal, imminent, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial
return to Rapture away His Bride--the Church. After the Great Tribulation, He
will come to this earth the second time to establish His Kingdom (Is. 65:18-25; Zech. 12;
Matt. 24; John 1:1-2; Romans 3:24-25; Eph. 1:7, Acts 1:9-11; Luke 24: 2, 51; I Thess.
4:13-18; Rev. 20:4-6).
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, equal with God the Father and Son. He
guides believers into all truth, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and
judgment. He baptizes new believers into the Body of Christ, and by His indwelling He
enables them to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit exalts Christ and not Himself (Gen.
1:1-3; John 16:8-13; I Cor. 12:12-14; Rom. 8:9, 14, 16, 26, 27; I Cor. 6:19-20).
WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of
God, but by choice, has fallen into sin and death and is in need of salvation (Gen.
1:26-27; Rom. 3:22-23; Eph. 2:1-12).
WE BELIEVE that for a sinner to be saved, he or she must be born again by the regenerating power
of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. It is all by grace through faith in the finished
work of Messiah Jesus Who shed His blood upon the Cross for the sins of the whole world
(Isa. 53; Zech. 12 & 13; John 3:3, 5, 16; II Cor. 5:17; Col. 2:13; Eph. 2:8-9; I John
5:1).
WE BELIEVE that all true believers are kept eternally secure by the power of God (John
6:37-40; Rom. 8:38-39; I Cor. 1:4-8; I Peter 1:3-5).
WE BELIEVE that God has an everlasting covenant with His Chosen People--Israel; and that
He will restore them to their Promised Land and place of blessing in the Kingdom
Age. The Church has not replaced Israel (Gen. 12:1-3; Deut. 7:6-9; Zech. 1:17; 2:8-12;
8:23; 14:9-21; Rom. 11).
WE BELIEVE that the New Testament Church is a congregation of baptized believers (both Jew
and Gentile) practicing Scriptural principles of worship and edification, observing the
ordinances of baptism and communion, exercising autonomy, and actively engaged in
fulfilling the Great Commission. The officers of the Church are pastors (elders
or bishops) and deacons. The Church (Bride of Christ) is composed of all born-again
persons (Eph. 1:22-23; I Cor. 12:12-14; Acts 14:27; I Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).
WE BELIEVE that the doctrine of personal and ecclesiastical separation is based on the
holiness of Jehovah God and must be practiced in any Christ-honoring life or ministry to
maintain a purity from worldly and unscriptural practices, movements and influences (II Cor.
6:14-7:1; II Tim. 4:2; I Peter 1:15-16). Just as God separated His Chosen People,
Israel, from those around them and commanded them to live holy lives (Lev. 20:24-26; Neh.
9:1-3; 13:1-3), so God wants us as His children to be separated unto Him and to
live holy lives before Him which will bring honor and glory to His name. We work
only in Bible-believing churches, which adhere to the fundamentals of the faith
once delivered to the saints, and which put into practice
obedience to the Scriptures.
WE BELIEVE
that the Scriptures clearly teach that all believers are one in
Christ (Gal. 3:26-29; Eph. 2:11-18), and to separate believing Jews from believing
Gentiles is clearly a violation of this principle. Gentiles will not get to know their
Jewish brethren, nor will they be edified by one another if both are not brought together
in the local church as God intended (I Cor. 12:12-14).
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the
resurrection of life, and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation, separated by at
least one thousand years. The saved will spend eternity in the blessedness of the Lord's
presence in Heaven while the lost will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (John 14:1-6;
Rev. 20:1-15).
